I got big problem to install and configuration asterisk 1.4 on a server (motherboard ASUS, Intel quad core). It does'nt work simply.

Recently, I set up a server with Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L motherboard, Intel core 2. It doesn't accept installation of both fedora core 6 and fedora core 9. It accepts SME server but doesn't accept to connect to Internet.

I need help for these 2 cases on this way.

1) What distributions of linux suit with ASUS motherboard? What to do to allow this motherboard working on fedora?

2) What to do to allow this Gigabyte motherboard to work with fedora?
3) What improvement to fedora to let it work well with these 2 different boards.
